China Grove Rotary Fall Crawl 5K Run/Walk & Half-Mile Fun Run
The event includes a rolling 5K route through Landis Ridge Industrial Park, Old Beatty Ford Road, and Landis, plus a half-mile fun run for all ages. Halloween costumes are welcome. Runners start and finish at the Ridgeview Street area.
Event proceeds fund youth initiatives in southern Rowan County, including YMCA youth programs, youth sports, camps, scholarships, Interact clubs, school projects, and teacher grants. Packet pickup is available on race day starting at 2 pm. T-shirts are guaranteed for 5K participants and most fun run options; a lower-cost fun run option does not include a shirt. Virtual 5K participants receive a shirt by pickup or mail.
Awards are presented after the 5K and include top three overall, top three in each 5K age group male and female, and top three for age 8 and under in the fun run. Walkers are eligible for age group awards. Age groups are 9 & under, 10 - 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, and 70 - 99.
Refreshments will be provided. Parking is onsite between Building 1A and 1B with access via the Armstrong Street entrance. There is an option to combine this 5K with another local 5K the same day for combined-time recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
