Event details

The Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge takes place on Sat 26 Sept 2026 with Henley Showground as basecamp, start and finish location. The event offers looped routes based from Henley with the following distances and elevation gains:

  • 50 km - 920 m elevation
  • 25 km - 500 m elevation
  • 10 km - ~235 m elevation

Options include walking, jogging or running, entry as an individual or a team, a Solo Start option, an Ultra March category (100 km under 24 hours or 50 km under 12 hours) and a new Ultra Trailblazerz option for faster competitors. The Henley basecamp includes Saturday night catering and on-site camping.

Support and logistics

The route is fully signed with additional GPS tracking provided through the event app. Timing is recorded via scans at rest stops and monitored by a control room. Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km with larger rest stops at about 25 km and 50 km; snack stops occur every 12.5 km and main meals are provided at roughly every 25 km. Covered rest stops include medical areas, toilets, changing rooms and baggage pick up. Event medical provision includes doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists and massage teams. Camping packages at basecamp include hot showers and drinks stations. Shuttle buses and transfers are provided to nearby transport hubs, and parking is available.
