Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge

This event takes place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, starting and finishing at the Henley Showground in Henley.

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • 50 km with 920 m of elevation
  • 25 km with 500 m of elevation
  • 10 km with 235 m of elevation

The route is a looped trail through the Chiltern Hills countryside. The course features historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves, and views.

Special categories are available for certain distances. The Ultra Trailblazerz category is for faster, competitive runners aiming for specific time goals. The Ultra March category is for walkers aiming to complete 50 km in under 12 hours or 100 km in under 24 hours, with a dedicated 8:30 AM start. A Solo Challenger start time is also available for individuals wishing to meet others.

The event basecamp at Henley Showground includes a Saturday night celebration meal, a bar, and on-site camping and parking options. Organizers provide covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km with food, drinks, medical support, and massage teams. The route is marked with signage and glow sticks for night sections. Participants receive a finisher's medal, t-shirt, and a glass of fizz.

Registration options include self-funding, full charity sponsorship, mixed funding, or own-place fundraising. Participants can take part as an individual or as part of a team.
