Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge : Henley (Sat 26 Sept 2026)
The Chiltern 50 is a looped trek and trail event based at Henley Showground. Participants may walk, jog, or run and can enter as individuals or teams. The event offers a Saturday night meal and bar at the Henley basecamp, on-site camping and parking, shuttle transfers to the nearest train station, and camping packages with hot showers and chill-out areas. There are specific entry options including a Solo start, an Ultra March® category, and a Trailblazerz™ option for faster competitive runners.
Distances and course
- 50 km loop - Henley Basecamp; 920 m elevation
- 25 km loop - Henley Basecamp; 500 m elevation
- 10 km Chiltern loop - Henley Basecamp; ~235 m elevation
The route runs through Chilterns countryside with historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves, and varied views. The course is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks for night sections and is supported by GPS route maps in the event app. Timing scans log progress at rest stops. Covered rest stops appear about every 12.5 km with main meals around every 25 km, hot and cold drinks, medical and massage teams, toilets, changing areas, and baggage pick-up.
