Event overview
The Chilterns 30 is a one-day trail running event of 30 km (18 miles) through the Chiltern Hills near Tring. The route passes woodland, grass-covered ridge lines and villages and has rolling hills with about 500 m of ascent. Organisers provide trail running instruction from guides, a well stocked checkpoint, a refreshment point, bag storage, a Run the Wild finisher’s medal and a Trees not Tees certificate. Participants are grouped by ability.
Logistics and entry
The event is scheduled for 10 May 2026 and is limited to 50 spaces. Entry costs £75 for an individual ticket. The start location is The Home Office, Tring. There is free on-site parking and Tring train station is a 10 minute walk away; Tring is described as about 40 minutes northwest of London by train from Euston. Facilities at the venue include toilets, a cafe and a bag drop. Spectators are welcome and viewing locations are provided in the final briefing email one week before the event.
