Event overview
The 2026 Chill Chase is a 5k and 10k race held on January 10, 2026, at Bladensburg Waterfront Park in Bladensburg, Maryland. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and toward the Winter Series. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund. A virtual race option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and the race is chip timed. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and a QR code will be available at the race; final results with series points are posted to the organizer’s website the Monday after the event.
Course, services and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on a paved path with minimal elevation gain. The 10k consists of two laps. Water stations are located at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 on the 10k; the 5k has a water station at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located within the park. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 30. Registration fees listed include early/regular pricing and a race-morning increase of $5 per distance. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to age-group placings.
