2026 Chili Chase
The Chili Chase is a family-oriented running event taking place on July 4, 2026, in Palo Alto. The course passes through the Fairmeadow neighborhood and loops around Mitchell Park. The event supports the Gunn Cross Country and track teams.
Distances offered include:
- Adult 5K (limited spots)
- Under 21 5K (limited spots)
Prizes are awarded by age group in order of finish. Participants who register by June 20 are guaranteed a t-shirt; registrations after that date may receive a shirt only while supplies last. The registration price does not increase after the deadline, but a race day registration fee is an additional $5. The event proceeds rain or shine and refunds are not available. No product pick-up will be offered after race day.
Parking is available at Cubberley Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Road, with attendees expected to cross Charleston to reach Mitchell Park for the start. Parking at Mitchell Park will be limited due to a concurrent chili cook-off, and some parking is also available at JLS. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
