Children of the Sun Half Marathon : Spokane, WA
Children of the Sun Half Marathon is a late-summer running event held in Spokane on the Children of the Sun Trail. All race distances begin and end at Wildhorse Park and take place entirely on a fully paved trail that features rolling elevation changes.
The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- 12K
- 5K
Support on course includes aid stations with water and electrolytes. Participants receive finisher medals and event photography will be available. There is a post-race area with coffee and snacks and a local running community atmosphere is part of the event setup. Organizers describe the course as suitable for pacing and as beginner-friendly.
Registration opens April 24, 2026 and closes July 22, 2026. Entry fees listed by the organizer are $39.00 for the half marathon, $29.00 for the 12K, and $25.00 for the 5K. All ages are welcome.
