Children of the Sun Half Marathon
The event takes place on August 22, 2026, in north Spokane on the Children of the Sun Trail. The entire course is paved and follows the trail for the full half marathon distance, with roughly 750 feet of elevation gain and a four hour time limit for the half marathon.
Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 10K road race
- 5K road race
There are three aid stations along the course. Organizers will provide water, electrolytes, coffee, and fruit. The route has little shade, so participants should plan for exposure to sun and bring additional gear as needed.
Registration details vary by distance. Listed fees are $39 for the half marathon, $34 for the 10K, and $29 for the 5K. Registration opens April 24, 2026 and closing dates differ by event.
