ZERO DARK ULTRA
ZERO DARK ULTRA is a self-supported running and rucking event in Spokane, Washington on August 29, 2026. The event is framed as a night-time invitation to move through darkness with an option to extend into a 24 hour format starting at sunrise. Two participation modes are offered: run or ruck.

Course and logistics
The course is a 1.58 mile continuous loop on dirt and wood chip trail. Events use lap counts for distance: the 10K is 4 laps and the 50K is 20 laps; the 12 hour and 24 hour events are based on maximum miles achieved. Tiny Titans Ultra is a single loop for parents and children.
Support includes one semi-stocked aid station at the start/finish in the main parking lot, on-site medical support, and designated crew tent areas in the parking lot. Required gear includes a headlamp, running gear, food, water, and electrolytes. Ruck packs or vests must not exceed 45 pounds. The course has no markings and is run in one direction. Parking and tent areas are designated. A signed waiver is required and refunds are not offered. Participants are expected to treat others with respect.
