ZERO DARK ULTRA : Spokane, WA
Zero Dark Ultra is a Phase One Missions overnight endurance event held on August 8, 2026 in Spokane, Washington. The main format centers on a continuous loop course where participants complete as many laps as they choose within their chosen event window. The event offers running and rucking options and includes a youth-oriented Tiny Titans Ultra for parents to run one loop with their children.
The course is a continuous 1.56 mile loop on dirt and wood chip trail surfaces. Ruck participants must use a pack or vest that does not exceed 45 pounds. The route is staged across Phase One training grounds and associated areas in Spokane, including the Reardan Cross Country track in Seven Mile, Riverside State Park, and Mt Spokane State Park.
The event features a single semi-stocked aid station offering Tailwind Endurance Fuel, NeverSecond 30 g energy gels, 1st Phorm protein bars and energy drinks, water, and assorted snacks. Participants are encouraged to be largely self-sufficient; required gear includes a headlamp, running gear, food, water, and electrolytes.
Logistics notes: check in takes place at Fleet Feet in Kendall Yards on the Friday before the event and again at the race location on the event day. Designated parking and tent areas will be available. There are no refunds at this time. Volunteers can receive reduced or free entry for specified volunteer hours. All entrants receive a Phase One Training Tee; 100 mile finishers receive a custom buckle and other finishers receive a commemorative patch.
