ZERO DARK ULTRA - Spokane, WA
ZERO DARK ULTRA is a multi-hour running and rucking event taking place on August 8, 2026 in Spokane, WA, organized by Phase One Missions. The event stages activity across Phase One training grounds, including Reardan Cross Country track in Seven Mile, Riverside State Park, and Mt Spokane State Park.
Event options include:
- 24 hour run
- 12 hour run
- 6 hour run
- 1 hour run
- 1 hour ruck
- Tiny Titans Ultra for parents running one loop beside their children
The course is a 1.56 mile continuous loop on dirt and wood chip trail. Ruck participants must use a pack or vest that does not exceed 45 pounds.
The event provides a semi-stocked aid station with Tailwind Endurance Fuel, NeverSecond 30g energy gels, 1st Phorm protein bars and energy drinks, plus water and various snacks. Runners and ruckers are encouraged to be largely self-sufficient and to carry required gear such as a headlamp, appropriate running gear, food, water, and electrolytes.
Check-in takes place the day before at Fleet Feet in Kendall Yards and at the race location on event day. Registered entrants receive a Phase One Training tee; a custom buckle is awarded to 100 mile finishers and a patch is given to other finishers.
The event has a no refunds policy. Volunteer incentives include 50% off for 6 volunteer hours and 100% off for 12 or more hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
