Event

The Chico Running Club is holding a free New Year’s Day 5k on January 1, 2026 in Chico, California. The event is offered at no entry cost and registration closes on January 1, 2026. A race timing clock will record finish times. Race bibs will not be assigned.

Location and course

The run starts at Sycamore Field on South Park Drive in Bidwell Park, near Caper Acres. The course uses the official City of Chico Bidwell Park 5k route.

On-site details

Post-race refreshments will be available, including coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts. Club apparel will be available for purchase. Prizes will be given to top finishers.
