About the race
Chicken Gizzard Chase is a charity running event held on November 1, 2026 in Liberty, Kentucky. The event donates 100% of proceeds to a beneficiary that supports people in need.
The course begins at Noel’s Chapel First Church of God and follows an out-and-back route on a state highway. The road includes rolling hills and the course is described as stroller friendly. A marker will identify a 1-mile option. A water station will be available during the event and post-race refreshments will be provided.
Pre-registration is required by October 15 for the lower entry fee; on-site registration is available at a higher fee. Entry fees are listed as $15 for pre-registration and $20 on the day of the event. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, and to the top three male and female in each listed age group; overall winners are excluded from age-group awards.
Age groups cover youth through senior divisions: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 plus.
