Forkland Festival Fox and Hound 5K
The event is a 5K trail race held in the Forkland community on October 10, 2026, at 16479 Forkland Rd, Gravel Switch, KY 40328. The course starts with a quarter-mile climb, follows open meadows and wooded trails, and finishes with a downhill stretch to the finish area. The terrain and elevation changes make this course slower than a flat road course.
Registration includes a ticket to the Forkland Festival pancake breakfast and a T-shirt; vintage T-shirts will also be available. Unique handmade awards are presented during the pancake breakfast at the shelter behind the Community Center. For 2026, awards have been added for the 70 and over age group. Registration opens January 14, 2026, the registration fee is $25.00, and registration closes October 8, 2026. To guarantee a 2026 T-shirt, registration should be completed by October 1, 2026. The race is part of the Forkland Festival and Heritage Revue activities for the day.
