Under Armour Chicago 10K : 2027 race overview
The Under Armour Chicago 10K is scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2027, in Grant Park, Chicago, with the start area at Arvey Field, 1501 S Lakeshore Drive. The event distance is 10K (6.2 miles). The race uses the B-Tag Chronotrack timing system and each participant will receive a timing device with their bib. All participants will receive an Under Armour race shirt, a finisher medal, and an official bib number.
Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis and all registrations are nonrefundable. Entry fees vary by registration period. The event will take place rain or shine; race officials may delay, postpone, or cancel the race for safety reasons including lightning. In the event of lightning, officials will apply 30 minute postponements each time lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius.
Packet pick-up offers three options. In-person pick-up is available at the Under Armour store at 600 N Michigan Avenue, with a scheduled pickup session on Saturday, October 2, 2027. A designated third party may pick up a packet by presenting the participant QR code. Race day packet pick-up is available for a fee and requires prior registration for that service. Participants must maintain a pace of 15:00 minutes per mile or faster to remain on course.
The event names Special Olympics Chicago and Special Children’s Charities as its beneficiary. Volunteers are listed for roles including course marshals, aid stations, gear check, packet pick-up support, and course setup and tear down.
