Chi-Town Miles
Chi-Town Miles is a night track meet of one-mile races held on the Bob Pickens Track & Field at Jackson Park in Chicago on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Runners are grouped by entry time and pace into multiple heats that progress from slower to faster sections; the event may adjust heat assignments as needed.
Distances offered include:
- One-mile track races
- 100 m dash for ages 1-4
- 400 m dash for ages 5-10
- Wheelchair mile for push-rim competitors
The event uses FinishLynx timing and posts live results. The Kids Dash will use a display clock and will not produce formal results. Entry times entered at registration are used for seeding; top-mile entry times will be verified. Registration capacity is 550 and registration is scheduled to close on July 17, though it may close earlier if full. A packet mailing option had a deadline of July 6; packet pick-up is available at pre-event locations and on race day.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in the Top Men and Top Women races with prize money of $500, $250, and $150. Age group recognition is provided for multiple age categories; overall award winners are not duplicated in age groups. Participants must finish within 15 minutes.
