Chi-Town Miles
Chi-Town Miles is an evening track meet of one mile races held on a standard track under the lights. The event is scheduled for July 18, 2026, and the precise location is listed as TBD. The meet is part of the 2026 Chicago Racing Circuit.
Distances offered include:
- One mile races for adults and general participants
- 100 meter dash for ages 1 to 4
- 400 meter dash for ages 5 to 10
Races are run in seeded heats based on entry times, with heats organized from slower to faster. Most heats will combine genders to group athletes by similar ability; the fastest Open and Top heats are gender specific. Participants must finish within 15 minutes. The event has a capacity of 550 and follows a no refund and no transfer policy.
Race services and amenities include FinishLynx timing, event announcing, a professional DJ, a performance event tank, overall and age group awards, and prize money for the top three finishers in the overall standings. Prize money for overall top three is listed as First $500, Second $250, Third $150. Age group awards cover standard 5 year bands and will be mailed after the event. A kids dash coach led warm up precedes youth dashes and participants receive a participation ribbon.
