Chew Valley Lake Reservoir Run
The Chew Valley Lake Reservoir Run is a charity running event hosted by Bristol Water on Sunday 20 September 2026. The event offers three measured distances and has a limited number of places, with approximately 30 to 35 spaces available across all distances.
Entry details and participant benefits are provided: the entry fee is £15 and proceeds support The Grand Appeal (Registered Charity 1043603), the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital. All finishers receive a runner bib, a commemorative medal, and a goodie bag. Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each distance.
Distances and minimum ages:
- 2.5 km (age 5 years and over)
- 5 km (age 8 years and over)
- 10 km (age 15 years and over)
Venue and facilities are described: the meeting point is the Salt & Malt car park on Wally Lane, Chew Stoke, Chew Magna, Bristol BS40 8XS. An overflow car park is available on Walley Court Road (BS40 8TF). Toilets will be available at the venue and the Salt & Malt café and chip shop will be open. A water station will be located at the finish line; 5 km and 10 km participants pass this point during the course.
Additional logistics and rules: exact start locations will be confirmed nearer the event date and all races finish adjacent to the Salt & Malt car park. Race numbers are distributed on the day. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Headphones are not permitted. Dogs and buggies are allowed; dogs must be kept on a short lead. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
