Mells Mash-Up
The Mells Mash-Up, previously the Mells Scenic 7 or Mells Scenic race, takes place on 20 September 2026 and is Race 1 of the Wiltshire Off Road Race League. The course is around 7 miles and will follow the same route used in 2025, including part of the cycle path from Great Elm to Mells rather than going over Barrow Hill. The route uses a mixture of footpath and bridleway, cycle path and quiet country lanes. The course is marked and marshalled and both the start and finish are in the village of Mells near Frome.
Event logistics are centred on Mells Cricket Club, with parking available at the cricket club and around the village. Toilets will be available and there will be an area to leave bags at runners own risk. Race numbers will be issued on the day. After the race, tea and cakes will be on sale and each finisher will receive a small memento. Dogs are not allowed because of short on road sections and narrow paths in places. Headphones may be worn but runners must be able to hear marshals and be aware of traffic on small road sections. Entrants must be 18 years of age on the day. The course can be slippery and muddy in places. Online entries close on 17 September and there will be no entries available on the day.
