Oldbury 10 mile
The Oldbury 10 mile on 20 September 2026 is organised by Thornbury Running Club as Race Series Race 3. The event is a measured 10 mile road race on quiet lanes beside the River Severn. The course is described as flat and fast and is presented as a step up from 10k or preparation for a half marathon.
Entries are available only through Full on Sport and there are no on the day entries. Minimum age is 18 years. The organisers set an expected run time of 2 hours to support the wellbeing of marshals and participants. Gun to chip timing is used and two water stations are positioned on the course, between miles 3 and 4 and between miles 7 and 8.
A prize of £100 is offered to any runner who beats the course record times: Men 50min 19sec (2010) and Ladies 57min 09sec (2008). Individual prizes are awarded across 16 major categories and there is a cumulative prize for the fastest absolute combined time across the three 2026 TRC Race Series events. For 2026 all finishers receive a metal medal and participants who complete all three series events receive linking medals.
Race headquarters is Oldbury Power Station, Oldbury Naite, Bristol BS35 1RQ where parking is available. Registration and race number collection are held in the main building where toilets are available; there are no changing facilities or showers. Transfers of entries must be completed before 23:59 on Tuesday 15 September. An ARC permit number is to be confirmed and a reserve venue is available if needed.
