Oldbury 10 mile 2026
The Oldbury 10 mile is an accurately measured road race held on quiet lanes by the River Severn. The course is described as flat and fast and covers a distance of 10 miles. The event forms Race #3 of the Thornbury Running Club 2026 Race Series and is included in the series medals programme; completing all three series races yields linking medals.
Entries are accepted only through Full on Sport and there are no on-the-day entries. Minimum age for entry is 18 years. Gun to chip timing will be used. Individual prizes are awarded across 16 major categories, and a monetary prize is offered for anyone who beats the existing course records for men and women. The race usually contributes to the Avon Road Race Championships subject to eligibility.
On-course support includes two water stations located between miles 3–4 and 7–8. Race headquarters is at Oldbury Power Station, Oldbury Naite, Thornbury BS35 1RQ, where parking is available. Race number collection and toilets will be in the main building; there are no changing facilities or showers and the organisers accept no responsibility for items left in the building. If the main venue is unavailable, a reserve venue in Oldbury will be used and any change will be communicated in advance.
A discount arrangement exists to allow a VI Guide Runner free entry when supporting a registered VI runner; organisers can provide the necessary entry process. Transfers must be completed before 23:59 on Tuesday 15 September. Entry fees vary by entry period and affiliation, with early bird and late categories.
