Event Overview
The Chevron Houston Marathon is a multi-day running event held in Houston, Texas. The weekend features various race distances and supporting activities, including a health and fitness expo, a post-race party, and a charitable program. The event includes designated divisions for open runners, elite athletes, and wheelchair and handcycle participants.
Race Options
Participants can choose from three primary distances:
- Chevron Houston Marathon (42.195 km)
- Aramco Houston Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- We Are Houston 5K (5 km)
An additional Family Fun Run is also available as part of the event weekend activities.
Weekend Activities
The event weekend begins with a Health and Fitness Expo held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The expo serves as the location for participant packet pick-up for all race distances. Following the races, participants can attend RunFest at Discovery Green, which includes a post-race party and the Charity and Running Club Village.
A "Run for a Reason" program allows participants to support various charities. The event also provides additional services such as a mobile app for runner tracking, pace teams for marathon and half marathon distances, and designated spectator cheer stations.
Logistics
The marathon and half marathon courses begin at the intersection of Congress and Fannin. The 5K course starts at McKinney and Crawford.
