Event Format
The Chesaning Chamber of Commerce Dry-Tri is a multi-sport event combining cycling, running, and paddling. The race starts and finishes at Showboat Park. Participants cycle on backcountry roads, run along the river, and then paddle or float a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard back to the finish line. A separate 5K Run/Walk event is also offered.
Logistics and Equipment
Participants are responsible for providing their own equipment, which must include: a bike, a helmet (required for the cycling portion), a kayak/canoe/paddleboard with paddles, and a flotation device on board the watercraft. Race number stickers from the participant's bib must be applied to all equipment. Watercraft drop-off occurs pre-race at Parshallburg Park, while the race begins at Showboat Park. Chip timing is used.
Participant Information
Packet pickup is available at the Chamber Office on specific dates before the event and also on race morning at Showboat or Parshallburg Parks. Volunteers assist with equipment handling, but participants should be prepared to transport, enter, and exit their watercraft independently. The event is described as open to anyone. Awards are given for the top three overall male and female finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
