Event overview
Bauman's New Year's Resolution Race is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Flushing, Michigan. The event includes two distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
For 2025 the race moves to Flushing High School, 5039 Deland Rd, Flushing, MI. Both the run and the walk start and finish at the high school and follow a neighborhood course. There is no 8K run this year.
Course, registration and awards
The course is 100% paved and accurately measured but not certified. Mile markers will be placed as weather permits. Early registration ends December 19, 2025. Entry fee options include a hoody package or medal-only option. Hoody pre-registration fees are listed separately for adults and students, with a late-registration surcharge after the early deadline; Riverbend Striders members receive a small pre-registration discount. Packets and late registration are available at Bauman’s Running & Walking Shop in Flint on the day before the race. The first 500 registered participants receive medals. Awards are given to Overall and Masters Male and Female in both the 5K Run and 5K Walk, plus awards in the listed age groups. Mail-in entries may be sent to Bauman’s Running & Walking Shop.
