Cherrylake Farm Races presented by Orlando Health
Cherrylake Farm Races take place at Cherrylake in Groveland, Florida, using tree farm and nearby roads for the course. The event features clay and off road running terrain, rolling hills, and sections that run alongside natural lakes and rows of trees. Race offerings include a multi stage duathlon and two off road running distances.
- Duathlon : 5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run (running off road; bike on Cherry Lake Road)
- 5k : off road through the tree farm
- 10k : off road through the tree farm
The duathlon requires a USAT one day or yearly membership; duathletes must pick up their own packet and bring ID. Water is available before the race and at several aid stations on course. Each finisher receives chip timed results, event swag, and post race food. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each event and to the top three in ten year age groups. Cherrylake donates one tree for each participant as part of the 1000 Trees for 1000 Years program. Proceeds support local ecological and educational projects. Packet pickup is available the Friday before at Dash Sports in Downtown Clermont and on race day at Cherrylake. The event is cashless on race day.
