Cherrylake Farm Races : Groveland, FL
Cherrylake Farm Races take place on a tree lined course at Cherrylake’s tree farm near Groveland, FL. The event features running and multisport options on clay and dirt surfaces that pass between containerized magnolia rows and winding farm roads. Past participants have described the course as hilly and noted strong scenery.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Duathlon (run, bike, run)
Race proceeds support local ecology, wildlife, waterways, and Lake County schools. Organizers follow a one for one tree planting approach: one tree will be donated for each registered participant. Awards are given to top winners in each age group, and the event provides an inside look at a Lake County farm.
Event swag reflects a local mural theme called Plan(t) for the Future. The giveaway includes two shirt designs representing opposite panels of the mural, a spinning medal with the farm’s topography, and varied ribbon colors for each finisher.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Dash Sports in Downtown Clermont and on race day at Cherrylake. Duathlon participants must have a USAT year membership or purchase a one day membership and pick up their own packet; 5K and 10K participants may pick up packets for others. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
