Event overview
The Cherry City event in Salem, Oregon takes place on September 13, 2026 at Riverfront Park (200 Water St NE, Salem, OR 97301). The event includes the following races:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids Run (untimed, 0.4 mile)
Entry fees listed on the event page are $95 for the half marathon, $70 for the 10K, $50 for the 5K, and $25 for the Kids Run. Prices increase after February 28, 2026. Registration for the Kids Run closes on September 9, 2026.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is held on the Friday and Saturday before the event at two locations: Willamette Valley Vineyards Salem Hills Tasting Room (8800 Enchanted Way SE, Turner, OR) and Gallagher Fitness Resources (135 Commercial St NE, Salem, OR). Participants age 21 and over are offered a complimentary seasonal wine flight during Friday pickup.
Race services include aid stations, post-race music, food trucks, and beverage pours from the event wine and beer partners. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. The Kids Run participants receive a bib, shirt and medal.
Competition and support
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three masters (age 40+) male and female finishers in each distance, and top three male and female finishers in listed age groups. A team competition will tabulate team results and award top male and female teams for each distance. Volunteer opportunities are available to support event operations.
