Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut
The Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut is a run and walk event hosted by Cherokee Choices at Kituwah Mound in Bryson City, North Carolina. The event includes an on-site 5K, a Kids Fun Run, and a virtual "DIY 5K" option.

Registration details and entry fees are provided for each event. The on-site 5K registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes September 30, 2026; the Kids Fun Run registration opens July 1, 2026 and remains open through the event date. Entry fees listed include $5 for children 12 and under and elders 60 and older, and $15 for adults. A $20 adult fee is noted for dates after October 1. Donations of $50 or more waive the entry fee.
Awards are given for the top three overall male and female finishers. The 5K is scored by age group with top three male and female places in the following groups: 8 and under; 9–12; 13–16; 17–19; 20–25; 26–35; 36–45; 46–50; 51–60; and 61 and over.
The DIY 5K allows participants to run or walk at any location and submit times for optional online results. Times for the virtual option are collected from November 16 through November 21.
