Bunny Run 5k
The Bunny Run 5k is an inaugural running event held in Sylva, North Carolina. The race takes place on a Saturday in late March and serves as a fundraising initiative for the Southwestern Child Development Commission. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to the restoration of the commission's historic building in Webster, North Carolina. This landmark was constructed between 1936 and 1938 using locally gathered river rock and is listed on the National Historic Registry.

Awards are presented to the overall top male and female finishers, who receive themed prize baskets. Participant check-in and packet pickup are conducted onsite on the morning of the race at the Southwestern Community College Bookstore location.
