Event
The Chelmsford Race Weekend includes the Chelmsford Half Marathon held on 1 March 2026 at Anglia Ruskin University, CM1 1SQ. The course uses road closures and runs along Parkway, Essex Yeomanry Way and Chelmer Village Way, finishing at ARU outside the Student Union Building. There is no parking at Anglia Ruskin University.

- Half Marathon (open to entrants aged 17 and over)
- 10K (open to entrants aged 15 and over)
- 5K (open to entrants aged 11 and over)
Included with entry
Entries include a fully signposted course (300+ signs), chip timing, an XXL metal medal, water stations on course and snacks at the finish, a purple carpet finish, course entertainment and a festival music stage. The course is measured by the Association of UK Course Measures. First aid, response vehicles, security team and stewards are provided. Professional photographers attend and photos are provided complimentary.
Event operations and ticketing
The road-closed course is implemented by a traffic management team with impact protection lorry, 8 traffic vans, 10 traffic operatives, 2000 road cones and 200 traffic signs. The event is UKA registered and uses 75+ staff on event day with a one week build team. Ticketing uses allocation releases and tiered pricing; the first 500 entries in the first 24 hours receive a 50% discount. England Athletics members receive a £2 discount.
