Chelmsford Half Marathon
Chelmsford hosts road-closed races that finish at Anglia Ruskin University. The event route runs along Parkway, Essex Yeomanry Way and Chelmer Village Way on closed roads and finishes outside the ARU Student Union Building. There is no parking at Anglia Ruskin University.

Entries include course features and event services such as a fully signposted course with 300+ signs, chip timing, an XXL metal medal, water stations on course, snacks at the finish and a purple carpet finish. The event provides entertainment on the course and a festival music stage in the finish village. Professional photographers supply photos on a complimentary basis.
Safety and logistics are managed by a qualified traffic management team with an impact protection lorry, 8 traffic vans, 10 traffic operatives, 2000 road cones and 200 traffic signs. The measured course is certified by the Association of UK Course Measures. First aid and CQC ambulance cover, a security and stewarding team, event infrastructure including gazebos, 350 pedestrian barriers and 75 Heras fence, plus an event build team are listed as part of the delivery.
Ticketing uses capped allocations with tiered pricing. England Athletics members receive a £2 discount. Wheelchair and buggy participation are considered only after individual risk assessment and may be subject to conditions including route testing, age rules for passengers and time cut offs.
