Course, location and race services
The race starts and finishes at Church Street Brewing Company, 1480 Industrial Dr Unit C, Itasca, IL 60143. The course is an out-and-back on paved roads, described as flat and including a loop around a lake. All participants receive a super soft T-shirt, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a pint of craft beer. Age group awards are presented live for the top three in each 10-year category (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over). Parking is allowed at most businesses along Industrial Avenue; volunteers will direct traffic and lots closest to the brewery are expected to fill quickly. A team cheer contest will award a $50 gift card to Church Street for the best dressed team. The event supports the Fetching Tails Foundation.
