Cheeky Monkey 24

Cheeky Monkey 24 is a 24 hour running event at Veterans Park in Plain Township that offers team relay and solo options on a 1 mile loop run counterclockwise.

Team relay options:

• 4 person team relay; teams must have four members. Categories: Men (4 men), Women (4 women), Coed (2 women and 2 men).
• 8 person team relay; teams must have eight members. Categories: Men (8 men), Women (8 women), Coed (4 women and 4 men).

Each team receives a 10x10 space for a tent or team site. Registration fee for the listed events is $35.00. Relay registration opens 12/1/2025 and closes 4/6/2026. The solo division The Lone Ape opens registration 2/22/2026 and closes 4/6/2026.

The Lone Ape is a solo self supported division. Organizers provide water, Gatorade, and a few snacks under the pavilion about 100 meters from the course; participants may set up their own aid next to the course. The course includes a mild climb called Gorilla Hill near the start followed by an extended downhill section.

Participants receive an event shirt, a finisher medal, and food during the event. Awards are given to top teams in Open and Masters categories for Men, Women, and Coed. Masters teams require all runners to be over 40; a single runner under 40 places the team in Open. Final awards will be available in the pavilion shortly after the event.
