CHCF Hispanic Heritage 5K Run/Walk - 2026
The CHCF Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 3, 2026 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Corona, NY. The event is organized by the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF), an organization that combines education, capacity-building, and advocacy to support children and youth.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options:
- 5K in-person run and walk
- Virtual 5K (open 10/03 through 10/10 to log results and upload photos)
Participants who finish receive a medal. Amenities include live text and email results, free finish line photos, hydration at the finish, and refreshments provided by Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bathrooms are within a few minutes walk of the start and finish. There is an informal area to leave belongings; the event organization does not accept responsibility for personal items. Personalized bibs are available if registered three weeks in advance, and bib mailing is offered for registrations that meet the mailing deadline.
The course is USATF certified and runs near the Queens Theater and the Fountain of the Planets. Parking is listed at the Queens Museum building with a short walk to the Queens Theater staging area. Age group recognition includes overall top finishers and top finishers in multiple age bands for female, male, and X categories.
