About the race
The CHCF Hispanic Heritage 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 3, 2026 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Corona, NY. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and lists parking at the Queens Museum building on Meridian Road near the Queens Theater.

- 5K Virtual option, participants may log times from October 3 to October 10
Participants receive a finishing medal and access to live online, text, and email results. Finish line photos are provided free the same day. Registered participants who sign up three weeks before the event receive a personalized bib; virtual bibs are mailed beginning the Monday prior to the event (allow 3–5 days). There is an informal area for leaving belongings; the event organization does not assume responsibility for personal items. Bathrooms are a few minutes' walk from start and finish, and hydration and refreshments are available at the finish line, including Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Age-group recognition is awarded to top finishers overall and within age brackets from 14 and under through 90+. Registration fees are non-refundable and used for race expenses. The event is organized by the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF), a nonprofit founded in 1982 that provides programs and advocacy for underserved children and families in New York City.
