The Chattahoochee Road Race takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the Sandy Springs / Atlanta area. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
5K registration is listed at $35 ($25 for ages 0-14). 10K registration is listed at $40 ($30 for ages 0-16). Prices increase after December 31, 2025. Registration opens August 1. Finishers in both events receive a 3" custom medal. Free finisher photos are provided by TrueSpeedPhoto.
Course, logistics and extras
The course is described as mostly flat with a 0.75 mile downhill finish. The start and finish are separated by 0.6 mile. There is a 10K split mat at the 3.1 mile point that runners must cross. Transfers between distances are allowed online or at packet pick-up; switching from the 5K to the 10K requires payment of the price difference, while switching from the 10K to the 5K is free. The finish area is at Springs Cinema and across the street at Lake Forest Elementary (5585 Sandy Springs Cir NE, Atlanta, GA 30328). Food and beverage at the finish include tomato basil bisque, grilled cheese, and a beer garden offering one free craft beer for participants 21 and over. A bike raffle valued at $1,000 is offered to participants. The race benefits Chattahoochee Road Runners, Riverwood HS Athletics, and the Community Assistance Center.
