Race details and logistics
The course is described as mostly flat and includes a 0.75 mile downhill finish. The start area is near the City Center at 226 Mt. Vernon Rd and the finish area is at Springs Cinema and across the street at Lake Forest Elementary, 5585 Sandy Springs Cir NE. The start and finish are separated by 0.6 mile; organizers prefer that participants park at the finish area. A 10K split timing mat is located at the 3.1 mile point.
Finishers in both the 5K and 10K will receive a 3" custom medal. The event offers free finisher photos from TrueSpeedPhoto, food from Breadwinner (tomato basil bisque) and grilled cheese, and a beer garden at the finish with one free Mutation Brewing craft beer for adults 21 and over. A bike raffle with a prize listed at $1000 is planned. Youth pricing and a no-shirt pricing option (limited to the first 25 uses per event code) are available.
