Event Information

The Chateau Meichtry 5K takes place on May 16, 2026, in Talking Rock, Georgia. This is the event's fourth annual running and its second year at the winery location.

Location and Course

The 5K race starts and finishes at the Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard & Winery near Ellijay. The course uses mostly paved rural roads around the winery, with some gravel in the parking lot at the start. The vineyard is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia's wine country.

Post-Race Amenities

After the race, there is a wine garden finish area. Participants aged 21 and over receive a 5oz glass of wine, and tacos are included for all. Additional wine and beer are available for purchase. All runners receive a custom finisher's medal and a dry-fit short sleeve t-shirt. There will be live music and food available until 11:00 AM.

Additional Details
