Chasing the Sun Endurance Run
The Chasing the Sun Endurance Run takes place at the Robinson Preserve in Bradenton, Florida. The course consists of a multi-loop trail system that offers views of Tampa Bay, the Skyway Bridge, and Anna Maria Island. Participants run on a variety of surfaces, including pavement, sand, and shell, with the majority of the route consisting of sand and shell.
Available distances and categories include:
- 4.35 mile loop
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 26.2 Miles (Full Marathon)
- 31.1 Miles (50k Ultra)
- Team Relay (2-8 members switching each loop)
- All Day Endurance Challenge
Aid stations are located at the 2-mile mark and 3-mile mark. The 2-mile station provides water, hydration drinks, soda, and snacks, while the 3-mile station is a self-serve water stop. An additional self-serve station is located near the start and finish area for those continuing on further loops. All participants, excluding those completing the single 4.35-mile loop, are required to carry a water bottle, hydration belt, or vest.
The event facilities include food trucks, ice baths, and massage services at the finish line. All finishers receive a medal, post-race food, and drinks. Specific age group awards are provided for each event, with additional awards for marathon, 50k, and All Day athletes. For longer distance events, the final lap must be started by 5:00 PM, and the course closes at 6:00 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
