Chasing Dreams 5K & 10K Race Benefiting Running Down a Dream
The event is a community running event in San Antonio on July 18, 2026, hosted at Martin Luther King Park. It offers in-person and virtual options over two distances:
- 3.1 miles (5K)
- 6.2 miles (10K)
In-person races are chip-timed. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group for each gender. Age groups are: 14 & under, 15–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45–54, 55–64, 65–74, and 75 & over. Custom medals are provided for age group winners and for finishers in each distance.
Participant amenities include a patriotic race shirt, a custom finisher medal, post-race refreshments, a recovery area, and access to a post-race celebration with music, food trucks, vendors, and family activities. Water stops are provided between mile 1.25 and 1.5 for both distances, and between mile 4.3 and 4.6 for the 10K.
Virtual race options include mailed race shirts and medals, a downloadable race bib, and inclusion in a virtual finisher gallery. The race benefits the Running Down a Dream organization.
