Chasing Dreams 5K & 10K Race Benefiting Running Down A Dream
The event takes place on July 19, 2026 at Martin Luther King Park in San Antonio, Texas. It offers in-person and virtual options for two distances.

Both in-person distances are chip timed. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group for each gender. Age groups are 14 and under, 15 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64, 65 to 74, and 75 and over. Virtual participants are not eligible for in-person age group awards but receive a finisher medal and a patriotic race shirt shipped to them.
Participant perks listed include a custom finisher medal, a patriotic race shirt, post-race refreshments, a recovery area, and access to post-race activities such as music, food trucks, vendors, and family activities. Water stops are located between mile 1.25 and 1.5 for both distances and additionally between mile 4.3 and 4.6 for the 10K.
Packet pickup is scheduled before race day at a local coffee shop. The event is rain or shine and may be delayed in the event of lightning to protect participant safety. The first 400 registrants are guaranteed a shirt and finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
