Chase the Rainbow 5K Run/Walk
Chase the Rainbow is a community 5K run/walk hosted at Bridgeway Station in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The course begins at the Bridgeway Station entrance, follows a shamrock-strewn paved route that climbs over the Bridgeway Station bridge, and continues onto the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The layout is mostly flat with one bridge climb and a one hour time limit.
Race-day logistics include packet pickup at Bridgeway Station beginning 90 minutes before the race, free on-site parking with visible access to the start and finish, and restrooms at the venue. There are no water stations on the course; water and complimentary beer for participants 21 and over are available at the finish. Wildly Charged is listed as the hydration sponsor with water jugs at the finish.
Included with entry are a custom race bib, chip timing with live results, a custom finisher medal, a custom race tattoo, event-themed giveaways, a race sticker, and complimentary professional race photos. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age group medals for the top three in each of 15 age categories. The event is part of the Upstate Race Series and contributes to the Upstate Giving Series supporting local nonprofits.
Additional notes: dogs and headphones are allowed on course, packet pickup cannot be done by another person, race-day registration is available, and entries are final though transfers and exchanges are permitted through the registration system.
