Event Overview
The Chase the Dream 5K and Fun Run is the third annual edition of this event. It takes place in Winston Salem, North Carolina, at Bailey Park. The event offers two distances: a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run.
Course and Location
The 5K course is described as an out-and-back, glow-in-the-dark route that starts and finishes at Bailey Park (445 N. Patterson Ave). A course map for the 5K is available as a downloadable PDF.
Registration and Fees
Registration is open for both events. The standard fee for the 5K is $35, while the 1 Mile Fun Run costs $15. Children aged 0-7 can participate for free in both events. A discounted rate of $25 applies for the 5K for participants aged 8-12. There is also a group registration offer for the 5K where a group of four can register for the price of three. A race t-shirt is guaranteed for those who register before May 15.
Beneficiary
All proceeds from the race support the Dream Center, an organization that provides resources, counseling, long-term guidance, and programs like food and clothing assistance.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at The Dream Center of Forsyth County (1201 N. Liberty Street) from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Race day packet pickup is available at Bailey Park from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
