Chase the Butterfly Family 5K Road Race and Kids Fun Run
This event takes place on May 2, 2026, at New England Biolabs, 240 County Road, Ipswich, MA. It includes a community 5K road race and a separate kids fun run, organized by the Ipswich Family YMCA with a fundraising partnership with the CureCMT4J Foundation.

The course is stroller friendly and allows well-behaved dogs on leash. Free on-site parking is available in the garage and surface lots. Bib and shirt pick-up is offered the day before at the Ipswich Family YMCA and on race day at New England Biolabs. Timing is provided by Bay State Race Services. Shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last and must be collected by the start of the race. All sales are final; no refunds are offered.
Awards include overall medals for top male and female finishers, age-group medals for top three males and females across standard age brackets, top non-binary and wheelchair finisher awards, and special prizes for the first-place Ipswich residents. The event features post-race music, food from a local food truck, and a complimentary adult beverage option for those 21 and over with ID.
