Chase the Butterfly Family 5K and Kids Fun Run
Chase the Butterfly Family 5K Road Race and Kids Fun Run is scheduled for May 2, 2026 at New England Biolabs, 240 County Road, Ipswich, MA. The event features a community 5K road race and a separate kids fun run, and is organized in partnership with the Ipswich Family YMCA.
Proceeds support Ipswich Family YMCA programs and the CureCMT4J Foundation, an Ipswich-based nonprofit focused on finding a cure for a rare neurological disease. The event includes fundraising levels and sponsor options with specified benefits and recognition.
Course and logistics information notes that the course is stroller friendly and dog friendly for well-behaved dogs. Parking is available in open air and garage facilities at New England Biolabs. Timing is provided by Bay State Race Services. Packet and shirt pick-up are offered on the Friday before the race at the Ipswich Family YMCA and on race day at New England Biolabs. Shirts are available while supplies last and sizes are not guaranteed.
The event maintains a no-refund policy. Results will be posted after the finish and emailed to participants. Awards include overall 1st place male and female, age-group top three placements across standard age categories, top three non-binary and wheelchair finishers, and special prizes for top Ipswich resident male and female.
