About the race
The Tom Turkey Trot 5K is a community running event held in Palmyra, Virginia on November 21, 2026. This is the 13th running of the event and it features a 3.1 Miles course that is completely paved and winds through a local neighborhood with rolling hills and very little traffic past a CVS.
The event welcomes runners, walkers, joggers, strollers, and dogs. Every registered participant receives a commemorative Tom Turkey Trot cup. Registered participants are also offered pancakes after the race; friends and family may join the post-race breakfast for a separate fee of $5 per person.
All proceeds from the event will support the organizer’s 2027 mission trips. Virtual participation is available; virtual registrants will receive the commemorative cup by delivery or shipment after November 21, 2026.
