Charlotte Track Club 5K Showdown
The Charlotte Track Club 5K Showdown is a team-based 5K race held on October 17, 2026, at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina. The event brings run clubs together to compete with both team scoring and individual results.
Teams must have between 5 and 15 runners. Team scoring uses the finishing place of each runner rather than time: the top five finishers from each team contribute to the team score, which is the sum of their finishing places. The 6th and 7th runners can displace other teams' scorers and are used for tiebreakers. A perfect team score is 15 points for a 1st through 5th place sweep. Run clubs may enter more than one team.
Individual runners are welcome and start at the same time as team members. Runners must wear their assigned bib visibly on the front and must complete the full course to receive an official time and place. Medals are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group.
Packet pickup is scheduled on dates prior to and on race weekend at designated pickup locations, with packet pickup closing at 8 am on race day. There is a team captain meeting and a group photo at Frank Liske Park before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
