Charlotte Track Club 5K Showdown
The Charlotte Track Club 5K Showdown is a team-based 5K race held on October 17, 2026, at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina. The event pairs individual performance with team scoring so run clubs can compete together for overall placings and club recognition.
Teams must register between five and fifteen runners. Team scoring uses finishing places, not times: a team score equals the sum of the finishing places of its top five runners, with a perfect score being 15 points for a sweep of first through fifth. Ties are broken by the sixth runner’s finishing position. Run clubs may register multiple teams.
Individual runners are welcome and start alongside teams. Runners must wear their assigned bib visibly on the front and complete the full 5K course to receive an official time and place. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group.
Packet pickup is available in the days leading up to the race at listed local locations, with additional pickup on race day at Frank Liske Park; the organizer recommends collecting packets before race morning. The event is organized by the Charlotte Track Club, a volunteer non-profit that provides running programs and events for the Charlotte community.
