Charlotte Craft Beer Half Marathon and 5 Mile : Ballantyne, Charlotte
The event offers in-person and virtual race options on March 27, 2027, at Brixham Park in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC (15810 Ballantyne Medical Pl). Distances and event formats include:
- 13.1 miles : Half Marathon (in-person, virtual, and relay options)
- 5 miles : 5 Mile (in-person and virtual)
The half marathon course is roughly half on paved greenway trails and half on roads. The field for the half marathon and 5 mile in-person events is limited to 2,000 runners. Disposable timing tags are used and finish results are based on chip time.
Support and services include multiple water stops (seven for the half, three for the 5 mile) and portable toilets located at several mile points on the half marathon course. A medical tent will be located near the finish line for emergencies or minor medical needs. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on course.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to top finishers in specified age divisions; divisions span from 12 and under through 75+. Registration fees are non refundable and registrations are non transferable between individuals, events, or years. A postrace expo features local breweries with beer sampling for attendees age 21 and over. Participants receive event apparel, a finisher medal coaster, and other event items while supplies last.
