Charlie Kilshaw memorial race
The Charlie Kilshaw memorial race is a 5-mile event on 16 July 2026 held around the reservoirs at Milngavie Waterworks, Milngavie Road, Strathblane, Glasgow G62 8LQ. The course consists of two loops of the reservoirs - one larger loop and one smaller loop - with the finish at the James M Gale memorial.
Registration and number collection take place at the James M Gale memorial, which is about a 10 minute walk from the start line. There will be a public toilet near registration; there are no changing or shower facilities.
Runners must be 15 or older on the day. There is a junior race for under 17s and a senior race for other entrants; both races cover the same 5-mile route. Prizes are offered in male, female and non-binary categories for both junior and senior races.
Parking has been arranged at Nuffield Health, Milngavie G62 8HJ, with a cordoned area for entrants and about a 15 minute walk from parking to registration. Entry fee is £12 with a £2 discount for Scottish Athletics members; all money raised will be donated to the club’s charities for the year. There will be no entries on the night.
