About the race
Run the Blades is a unique trail running event held exclusively within Whitelee Wind Farm, the UK's largest onshore wind farm, located near Glasgow, Scotland. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, the event offers three challenging distances: a 10K, a half marathon, and a 50K ultra, plus a free 1-mile race for under-16s. The course features rugged, rolling terrain with scenic views and a notable hill near the finish.
Participants enjoy robust route signage, friendly marshals, multiple checkpoints with water stations, and a vibrant Event Village with music, coffee, and excellent goody bags.
