Men's 10K Glasgow : event overview
The Men’s 10K Glasgow is a city-centre 10 km road race for men that has been held since 2004. The event description notes that it aims to support participants in becoming fitter and healthier and that it has helped thousands of men on their fitness journeys. Entry options include charity entry from £0 and standard entry from £31.25. Finishers receive a wicking finisher's t-shirt, a finisher's medal and distance keyring, a finisher's pack, a personalised event number with an accurate timing chip, event baggage facilities, hydration on route, and hydration and nutrition at the finish. Results are posted in participant accounts within 48 hours.
The route starts at the Riverside Transport Museum and follows the River Clyde eastward, passing landmarks within the first 2 km such as Glasgow Science Centre, The Armadillo, the SECC and the SSE Hydro. The course crosses the river via the Squiggly Bridge and George V Bridge, proceeds through Glasgow city centre up Buchanan Street, then continues past the north side of George Square toward Glasgow Green.
