Charlesworth Chase

The Charlesworth Chase is an annual fell running event organized by Wharfedale Harriers, taking place in Appletreewick. The race covers approximately 5.2 miles (8.3 km) with an elevation gain of around 1,200 feet (366 meters). Participants start from the Craven Arms, heading along roads, across fields, and through forest tracks to reach Simons Seat, where they touch the trig point before returning.

The event is open to adults over 18 and includes a finish line celebration with a drink. Past races have seen record times of around 36 minutes for men and 43 minutes for women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
