About the race
The 11th Annual Head for the Cure 5K in Charleston is a community fundraising run/walk held on March 6, 2027 at James Island County Park, 871 Riverland Dr, Charleston, SC 29412. Funds raised through the event benefit brain tumor research and related programs, including MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer initiatives.
Race day programming includes day of packet pick up, a kids fun run, a brain tumor survivor photo, and special recognitions. Course and parking maps are provided for participants and attendees. The event also features a range of community recognitions that honor caregivers, healthcare professionals, survivors, and those remembered by family and friends. Recognition categories include Legacy of Love, Healthcare Hero, Keeping the Faith, and Memorial acknowledgements.
