Charles River Marathon Invitational (CRMI)
The Charles River Marathon Invitational is a marathon held at Herter Park in Boston, MA, on a USATF certified course (certificate MA23005JK) that is eligible as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The event uses a ten‑lap format on a paved 2.6 mile loop along the Charles River and begins and finishes at the DCR Herter Park facility.
Entry is limited to a small field capped at 200. Eligibility is restricted to runners who have completed a certified full marathon since Jan 1, 2024 with a finish time within 20 minutes of their Boston qualifying standard; a limited number of time waived entries are available to runners who commit to fundraising for the organizing charity and meet a $1,000 fundraising minimum by the specified deadline. Entry fees are non refundable and failure to meet the fundraising minimum results in forfeiture of entry.
Race services include portable toilets on the course and at the start/finish, a self serve bring your own bottle station near the start line, three hydration stations supplying sports drink and water, and energy gels available at course stations. Race entry includes a finisher medal, an embroidered hat, and a CRM shirt. Awards are given to the top three overall women and men and to age group winners in standard age categories.
