About the race
The Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk takes place on September 27, 2026, at the Charles River Center, 59 East Militia Heights Drive, Needham, MA. The event includes running and walking options and supports the Charles River Center's programs.

- 5K Run Duo Division Two participants register and compete as a team; both complete the 5K course and awards are presented to top Duo teams.
The course loops through the backroads of Needham and Wellesley and begins and ends at the Charles River Center. Age categories are included for the 5K Run to recognize finishers in different age groups. Teams may be formed for prizes; teams must have a minimum of five members to qualify for team awards.
The event includes a post-race gathering at the Charles River Center with food and drinks. The first 300 entries receive T-shirts.
All proceeds from the Charles River Center 5K Run/1 Mile Walk benefit more than 1,000 children and adults with disabilities served by the Charles River Center.
