Champaign Firefighters Local 1260 5K
The Champaign Firefighters Local 1260 5K is the third annual community 3.1 mile event held on the Carle at the Fields trail in Southwest Champaign, Illinois at 3310 Fields S Dr. The course follows a flat, paved path and passes local businesses, parks, and a fire station.
The event supports the Champaign Firefighters Benevolent Fund, established in 2022. The fund's mission includes honoring the families of fallen firefighters; supporting active and retired Local 1260 members and their families; assisting other firefighters and their families in Illinois and beyond; and providing financial support to community members or groups locally.
Registration opens on December 14, 2025 and closes on June 7, 2026; the registration fee is $35. Participants who register before May 31 will receive an official race t-shirt. Shirts and bibs are available for pick up on the morning of the race near the start and finish area. Free parking is provided in the Health Alliance parking lot.
