Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run
The Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run takes place on March 7, 2027 at Red Mill County Park in La Porte, Indiana. The event covers 15k completed by running four loops of a marked trail.
Race day sign-ups, packet pick-up, and restrooms are located in the Smith Banquet building. Participants should enter at the north entrance for those services.
All runners will receive a limited edition short sleeve shirt while supplies last. If shirts are sold out, registered participants will receive a winter hat and gloves instead. The shirt design will be posted later.
The event has a cereal theme. After the race, a variety of breakfast cereals will be available with 2% milk, almond milk, and non dairy milk. Deathwish Coffee will be brewing for participants.
The course will be marked with flags and signs; runners are asked to follow the course markings rather than the runner ahead. Timing uses an old school system: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick and must return that stick to the building where they picked up their packet. There is no formal awards ceremony; overall and age group medals are distributed when sticks are returned.
Items from other races will be available for sale for $5. The organizer runs the Crazy Legs Race Series to promote non pavement and pavement races in northwest Indiana and states an inclusivity policy for gender identity. The series includes a land acknowledgement for the Miami, Shawnee, Illinois, and Lenape peoples. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
