Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run
The event is a 15k trail run held at Red Mill County Park, 0185 S Holmesville Road, La Porte, IN 46350, on March 7, 2027. The course is marked with flags and signs and consists of four loops to reach the full distance; participants are asked to follow course markings rather than relying on the runner in front of them.
Race-day sign-ups, packet pick-up, and restrooms are located in the Smith Banquet building, with entry at the north entrance. Timing is manual: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick and must return that stick to the same building promptly. There is no formal awards ceremony; overall and age-group medals are issued when the numbered stick is turned in.
All runners receive a limited-edition short sleeve shirt while supplies last; when shirts sell out, a winter hat and gloves will be provided instead. After the race, a variety of breakfast cereals will be available with 2% milk, almond milk, and other non-dairy milk options, and coffee will be brewed on site. Items from other races are available for purchase for $5 each, including t-shirts, hats, and coffee cups.
The event is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes non-pavement and pavement races in northwest Indiana, states an inclusivity policy for gender identity in registration, and acknowledges the Indigenous nations who stewarded the land used for the races.
