Event
The Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run takes place on February 7, 2026 at Red Mill County Park in La Porte, Indiana. The event is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which runs races in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties and promotes non-pavement and pavement events in Northwest Indiana. The organizer includes an inclusivity statement and a land acknowledgment for the Indigenous nations who stewarded the area.
Race details
The race distance is 15k, run as four loops of a marked trail course. Course markings will use flags and signs; participants are asked to follow the markings rather than other runners. Race day sign-ups, packet pick-up, and restrooms are located in the Smith Banquet building at the park.
Timing will use a manual system: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick that must be returned to the packet building. Runners receive a limited-edition long sleeve shirt while supplies last; if shirts are sold out, entrants will receive a winter hat and gloves instead. After the race, various breakfast cereals will be available with 2% milk, almond milk, and non-dairy milk, and coffee will be provided. Awards will be given for overall male and female finishers and for age groups. Some race merchandise from prior events will be offered for sale at $5. Registration fees are listed as $34.09 (early) and $44.79 (later). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
