Chiltern Wonderland 50
The Chiltern Wonderland 50, organised by Centurion Running, takes place on 19 September 2026 with race HQ at Goring Village Hall, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG8 9AG. The event is a single loop of 50 mi (81 km) through the Chiltern Hills. The route includes approximately 5600 ft (1700 m) of climb and descent, and is around 80% trail and 20% road. Entries open 11 October 2025 and close 31 August 2026. Minimum age is 20. Entry fee is £115 or £117 for unattached runners. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and a qualification standard applies.
Course, support and rules
The route is fully marked with Centurion ribbons and arrows; no navigation is required. There are five staffed aid stations offering a range of sports nutrition and food, including gels, electrolyte drinks, water, hot and cold drinks, fruit, sandwiches and other snacks. Medical support is provided on course and at the finish. Runners must finish within a 13 hour time limit; additional cut-offs apply at aid stations. Pacers and crew are not permitted. Finishers receive a medal; prizes are awarded to top places and veteran categories. Mandatory kit is required and subject to checks; items include a charged mobile phone, a minimum 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket, waterproof jacket, whistle, primary and backup headtorches (minimum 100 lumens), a long-sleeved warm layer kept dry, and a cup or mug.
