Chiltern Wonderland 50

The Chiltern Wonderland 50 is a single loop 50 mile race organised by Centurion Running that runs through the Chiltern Hills, starting and finishing in Goring on Thames with Race HQ at Goring Village Hall, Oxfordshire. The route includes 5600 feet of ascent and descent, follows sections of the Thames Path, the Chiltern Way and the Ridgeway, and passes villages and locations featured in British film and television. The course surface is largely trail, with around 80% trail and 20% road, and is fully marked with Centurion ribbons and marker arrows.

Runners are supported by five well stocked aid stations offering vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options plus a range of sports nutrition and hot food at the finish. A medical team will be available on course and at the finish. Pacers and crews are not permitted. Finish line bags may be deposited at registration; other drop bags are not allowed.

Entrants must meet a qualification requirement of a completed marathon within the cut off time between 1 January 2021 and the race date. Entries open on 11 October 2025 and close on 31 August 2026, with a minimum age of 20 and no waiting list. The event has a 13 hour overall cut off and awards a finisher medal to all finishers; prizes are given to top finishers and to multiple veteran categories.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes a charged mobile phone, water capacity of at least 1 litre, survival blanket, waterproof jacket with sealed seams, whistle, headtorch and backup light, a dry warm layer and a cup.
