Autumn 100 : Centurion Running
The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile (161 km) continuous trail race based in the twinned villages of Goring & Streatley on the River Thames. The route comprises four separate 25 mile out and back spurs that use sections of the Thames Path and the Ridgeway National Trails and return to Goring for each leg. Total ascent is listed at about 5000 ft (1500 m). Terrain is approximately 80% trail and 20% road.
The event is limited to 250 starters and has a 28 hour overall cut off. Sixteen fully stocked aid stations support the course; hot drinks are available on legs 2, 3 and 4 and hot food is provided at Goring. Drop bags can be accessed at Goring at miles 25, 50, 75 and 100; finish line bags must also meet the size limit of 30 litres.
Entrants must meet a qualification standard of a completed 50 mile race within 15 hours between 1 January 2021 and race day. Pacers are permitted only from mile 75 and must run the final 25 mile leg; crew access is not permitted. The route is marked by National Trail waymarkers plus event ribbons and arrows, but several busy road crossings are not marshalled and are the runner's responsibility.
Medical cover is provided along the course. Mandatory equipment is required throughout the race and missing items incur a time penalty. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
