Event overview

The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile continuous trail race centred on Goring & Streatley on the River Thames, Oxfordshire (Goring Village Hall, RG8 9AG). The course is four 25-mile out-and-back spurs that use sections of the Thames Path and the Ridgeway National Trails. Terrain is listed as 20% road and 80% trail. Elevation gain is given as 5,000 ft (1,500 m). The overall cut-off is 28 hours.

Logistics, support and rules

There are 16 fully stocked aid stations, full medical support and course markings in addition to National Trail waymarkers. Drop bags may be accessed at miles 25, 50, 75 and 100; each bag must be under 30 litres. Pacers are permitted only from mile 75 for the final 25-mile leg and may join or leave only at the race HQ in Goring. Crews are not permitted. Runners must meet a qualification standard: completion of at least a 50-mile race within 15 hours in the specified qualification period. Random kit checks will be made and a set of mandatory items must be carried at all times, including a mobile phone, water capacity of at least 1 litre, survival blanket, waterproof jacket, whistle, main and backup lights, warm hat, gloves and a long-sleeved dry layer. Entry fees are listed as £220 (UKA affiliated) and £222 (unaffiliated). Finishers receive Centurion buckles and prizes are awarded for overall and age-group places.
