Central Islip Fire Department 5K Run/Walk
The Central Islip Fire Department 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 9, 2026 at Court House Drive across from the Islip Town Fire Museum in Central Islip, NY. The event is organized as a fundraiser for the Central Islip Fire Department and includes a free kids fun run as part of the race day program.
The event is a community 5K run and walk with race amenities that include a T shirt for the first 200 registrants, finisher medals for the first 100 finishers, live results by text and email, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for participants who register at least three weeks before the event. Awards are given for top three overall men and women, top three first responder men and women, and top three in multiple age groups including 12 and under, 13 to 16, 17 to 20, 21 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, and 55 plus.
Registration options cover the 5K run and walk and may include additional fees for processing or optional donations. Registration fees are non refundable and race organizers require agreement to terms and waivers. The course start is located at the crosswalk near the event site.
