Central Islip Fire Department 5K Run/Walk
The Central Islip Fire Department 5K Run/Walk is a fundraising road event held in Central Islip, New York. The course begins at a crosswalk on Court House Drive, across from the Islip Town Fire Museum. A route is available through MapMyRun.
Registration is not yet open. The organizer notes that bibs can be picked up on race day from event staff; a self-lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number. Participants who register at least three weeks in advance are eligible for personalized bibs. Registrations completed within 24 hours of bib pickup may receive a bib number by text.
Participant amenities include a T-shirt for the first 200 registrants, finisher medals for the first 100 finishers, live, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bib options when registered in advance.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers. Online recognition lists the top three male and female first responders and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 and under; 13 to 16; 17 to 20; 21 to 24; 25 to 34; 35 to 44; 45 to 54; 55 and over.
