24th Annual Life;Story Run/Walk
The 24th Annual Life;Story is a community event focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Taking place at Nathan Benderson Circle in Sarasota, Florida, the event features several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: Open to participants aged 5 and older.
- 10K Run/Walk: Open to participants aged 13 and older.
- Life;Story Kids Dash: Age-bracketed sprints for children between 3 and 12 years old.
- Virtual 5K and 10K: Remote options for those participating from different locations.
In-person participants in the 5K and 10K events receive a chip-timed race bib for a professionally managed course. Registration for these distances, as well as the Kids Dash, includes an official 2026 race shirt and a finisher's medal. The Kids Dash is a non-timed activity designed as an introduction to running.
The event atmosphere includes community vendors, mental health resource displays, and giveaway items. Proceeds from the event support mental health and addiction services provided by Centerstone for individuals with limited or no resources. The semicolon in the event name represents the continuation of a story. Discounted registration rates are available for youth participants, first responders, and military members or veterans.
