Center for Disabilities Run Walk & Roll
The Center for Disabilities Run Walk & Roll takes place on September 12, 2026 at Elmwood Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The event is inclusive of people of all ages and abilities and highlights the role of early childhood development in health, learning, and well being. It brings together families, professionals, and community members to raise awareness about early identification, intervention, and support for developmental needs.
Events on the day include:
- 5K timed race
- 1 mile free fun run, walk and roll
- Virtual participation option
The day features race packet pick up, yoga and stretching sessions in the park, a mascot race, and a food truck. A shirt is included with 5K and virtual registration; additional shirts are available through the 1 mile sign up for a fee. Registration and shirt orders must be placed by August 24 to guarantee shirt size. Children age 12 and younger have a reduced fee of $25 and a discount is available when purchasing three or more race entries at a time.
Accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Organizers can provide a racing chair on loan and arrange guides for people with low vision or blindness when requested at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
